Rates

What is your rate?

I offer an initial free 15 minute consultation session. If we decide that it is a good fit, every subsequent 50minute session is $150.00.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations, or you will be billed the full rate for the missed session.

What is your professional designation?

I have a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and am a member of the BC College of Social Workers and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Based upon my extensive counselling training and experience, I also hold the designation of a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) and am a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Are Registered Social Workers (RSW) and Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) covered by extended health plans?

Counselling can be covered through extended health plans. If you have benefits through your employment, school, or elsewhere, contact your insurance provider to see if RSWs or RCCs are covered (I have both designations).

I am also registered with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and provide coverage for counselling services for people who access the Mental Wellness and Counselling Program (MWCP), the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program (IRS-RHSP), and the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls (MMIWG) Program.

Is my session tax deductible?

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the BC College of Social Workers and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Revenue Canada recognizes Social Work as a health profession. Clinical services, including counselling, provided by an RSW can be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax return.
